STEPHEN & SARAH SUMMERS

Summers In Time Dance Studio and Dance In Time Boutique
are run by
Stephen & Sarah Summers
Stephen & Sarah have been together since 1992 and competed as professionals in Ballroom & Latin until 1997 when they stopped to help run Sarah's parents, Roy & Mary Knight, with their dance studio in Nottingham and also to start their own dance studio - Summers in Time Dance Studio - based at several locations around Nottingham.
In 2017 Stephen & Sarah expanded their business and opened Summers Knight Dance Studios in Hockley Nottingham (Formally the Roy & Mary Knight Dance Studio) following the passing of both of Sarah's parents.
After the forced closure of Summers Knight Dance Studio in 2022, the business moved to a brand new purpose built studio in Woodthorpe, named Summers In Time Studio, and this is now their permanent dancing home.
Stephen started dancing at the age of eight taking his IDTA exams in Freestyle, Ballroom and Latin and competed through juvenile, junior, youth and amateur rankings. He made 2 British Youth finals at Blackpool and ranked in the top 12 Amateur Ballroom dancers. He has also appeared on 2 series of BBC'S original Come Dancing plus other TV programmes.
Sarah has been dancing since she could walk at her parents dance studio (Roy & Mary Knight's). From the age of 3, Sarah started taking her IDTA exams in Freestyle, Ballroom and Latin and, at the age of 4, Sarah competed in Freestyle, Slow, Disco and Rock n Roll. She was a championship level dancer by the age of 9, winning many championships around the UK including the UK All England Championships.
At the age of 17, Sarah turned professional and opened her own studio with the help from her mum and dad which was based in Arnold. She continued to travel around the UK every weekend judging at many of the major freestyle competitions.
By the age of 19, Sarah had trained many students to championship freestyle level and had the top freestyle studio in Nottingham. Sarah continues to enjoy teaching freestyle and now has some of her students she trained teaching at the studio.
In 2017 Stephen & Sarah returned to compete in professional Ballroom & Latin and 10 Dance, going on to win many more titles.
